Abhay Kulkarni joins Netskope as VP of Engineering
McIntyre Associates is pleased to announce the appointment of Abhay Kulkarni as VP of Engineering at our client Netskope, the cloud app analytics and policy company.
In this key role Abhay reports directly to Sanjay Beri, CEO and co-founder of Netskope. Abhay will be responsible for Engineering, QA and Development Operations on a global basis.
This role will leverage Abhay’s 17 years of diverse experience in the software industry and his unique fit with Netskope’s well defined company culture, a pivotal requirement for this position, as described by Mamoon Hamid of Social+Capital Partnership.
Most recently, as Sr. Director of Engineering of NortonCloud products at Symantec, Abhay was accountable for teams of up to 110 engineers managing budget, working within a P&L center driving revenue growth in multi-million dollar business units.
Earlier, Abhay was responsible for overseeing the development of Symantec’s flagship consumer security products – Norton AntiVirus, Norton Internet Security and Norton 360. His teams delivered 9 consecutive releases that won PC Magazine’s Editor’s Choice as CNET’s 5 star ratings. NAV/NIS/N360 together account for 2.2 billion dollars in yearly revenue.
Abhay joined Symantec via the VERITAS acquisition where he developed cross platform security service (VxSS) to authenticate and authorize entities performing transactions with VERITAS data center and Enterprise products.
Abhay holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from University of Pune (India) which was granted in 1997
