Title: Vice President of Human Resources

We are recruiting for a Vice President of Human Resources to join a senior management team populated by some of the most accomplished cyber security executives in the world, and funded by tier – 1 investors which include: Accel Partners, Warburg Pincus and Google Capital. This is a unique opportunity to participate in scaling a 5 year old, multi-million dollar market leader up to, and through a successful IPO.
While domain expertise is optimal, this is a rare opportunity for a VP of Human Resources with no prior cyber security experience to break into the industry as it expands with no end in sight.
The VP of Human Resources will play a vitally important role, responsible for all HR affairs across the company on a Global basis as the company continues its rapid expansion due to increasingly frequent customer wins. We are screening for an experienced executive that is a highly practical, pragmatic and execution oriented team player, and who will partner with CrowdStrike employees at all levels.
Accountabilities & Required Skills
We seek an executive with a fire in the belly which is essential for keeping pace with this high intensity management team as they capitalize on myriad enterprise security opportunities delivered via a SaaS business model. This key HR role requires 10+ years at senior management level, preferably gained working in both large and small growth technology companies. Must have a track record of building a forward leaning culture vs. simply maintaining an existing organization. Background in building towards, and pushing through a major liquidity event would be ideal.
Track record of building a lean, highly efficient HR infrastructure focused on attracting and retaining tier-1 employees, partnering with hiring managers to optimize HR policies while refining processes & systems which include: Recruitment, Performance Management, Management Development/OD, Succession Planning, Compensation, Benefits, Workers’ Compensation, Affirmative Action/EEO, Human Capital Management/HRIS, and Employee Relations.
International experience including opening entities in foreign countries, as well as visa/immigration background. Experience with European labor laws, regulations, etc., very helpful.
Key player in maintaining a high performance, positively charged work environment populated by highly-skilled knowledge workers (security domain experts), technical personnel (SaaS software architects, developers, sales engineers, etc.). Must continually re-assess that which HR delivers in response to evolving market conditions. Will recommend changes in structure, and/or culture needed to maintain CrowdStrike’s status as a superior place to work.
Responsible for management of HR compliance issues and grievance / disciplinary administration, including complex terminations, while ensuring minimal disruption to the business and its employees. Coach senior management team on structure, legalities of hiring & terminations, and on achieving Diversity (inclusivity) goals.
Develop/implement a 2017 employee retention plan incorporating management training, communication initiatives and employee relations activities. Develop detailed career ladder for a technical population working in various locations. Implement a skill-based Training & Development program to recognize employee development resulting in improved recruiting, retention and ultimately highest possible quality of products/service delivery.
Design / implement external benchmarking tools incorporating all relevant metrics (cost per hire, etc.) to be reviewed with CEO and adjusted quarterly. Responsible for HR planning including managing compensation as a percentage of revenue.
Establish and manage compensation committee meetings and initiatives. Develop/implement a new executive incentive plan as required to support CrowdStrike’s aggressive business roadmap. Orchestrate comprehensive succession planning initiatives including management depth, gap analysis, and high potential development along with metrics to track progress in meeting stated goals. Select and manage outside vendors to ensure benefits and related systems are providing the highest-level service to employees at a cost-effective rate to the Company.
Human Capital Management (HCM/HRIS); refine selection process and optimization of the appropriate HCM platform, and subsequent integration of new employees from future acquisitions on to existing HRIS systems, including online benefits enrollment. Develop a global HRIS plan utilizing an internal web-based transaction solution, to be implemented providing key HR data for managing a global workforce (competencies/locations/diversity/assignment terms). Implement the use of intranet as an informational database for employee career development and HR policies, and for monitoring worldwide employment agreements and performance of individual contractors.
